Who we are
We are Shropshire Veggies and Vegans, a not-for-profit organisation that promotes veganism and vegan lifestyles within the county of Shropshire and surrounding areas. The group, run by volunteers manages a website and Facebook group for member support and information about vegetarian and vegan living.
The amount of information you may be required to show will vary depending on your local or national business regulations. You may, for example, be required to display a physical address, a registered address, or your company registration number.

What personal data we collect and why we collect it
We do not collect any personal data about users of this website. This site is built using WordPress. By default WordPress does not collect any personal data about visitors, and only collects the data shown on the User Profile screen from registered administrators.
We hold only email addresses provided by registered subscribers to the email newsletters and events information.
When visitors leave comments on a site data shown in the comments form is collected, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection. At present this site does not allow comments, therefore no other visitor data is collected.
For registered users (adminstrators and editors). If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website. This does not apply to visitors to the site.
This site uses a contact form. We keep contact form submissions for a certain period for customer service purposes, but do not use the information submitted through them for marketing purposes. Contact form details are not added to the subscription email list.
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year. At present we do not accept comments.
If you have an account and you log in to this site, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

How long we retain your data
Email subscribers details are retained indefinitely. Subscribers can unsubscribe at any time and details will not be retained.
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
What rights you have over your data
Subscribers can unsubscribe at anytime and details removed from the email list. We do not retain any other visitor details.
